Studio Policies

Our studio is set up for most shoots without major adjustments. While small backdrops are available, please avoid moving furniture for safety reasons. If assistance is needed, our team is here to help. Any damage to decor or furniture will require compensation at market value. Please refrain from removing studio property from the premises.

Our studio prohibits the creation of pornographic, violent, racist, or discriminatory content based on race, gender, disability, age, etc. Alcohol consumption is not allowed on the premises, but if needed for your shoot, only new and sealed bottles/containers are permitted.
Smoking, including recreational drugs, is strictly prohibited. We reserve the right to ask anyone suspected of intoxication to leave.
Please refrain from bringing the following into the studio. If necessary for your shoot, please contact us at hello@theloft-toronto.com.com:
Candles
Sparklers
Open flames
Dry ice
Smoke machines.
Glitter / confetti
Food or drinks (closed bottles/containers are allowed if unopened).
Any illegal items.
Animals or pets, except for service animals. Contact us for approval at hello@theloft-toronto.com.

We have a strict no outdoor shoe policy inside the studio to protect the floors and wool rugs. Shoes must be removed and any indoor shoes must be clean.
Failure to adhere to this policy will result in an automatic forfeit of your security deposit.
Security footage is verified after each booking.

Our studio is equipped with 24/7 security cameras and alarm systems that monitor activity inside the space excluding washrooms. These cameras are used to verify rule violations or damages that may have occurred during your booking.

Our team inspects the studio at the end of your booking to ensure that the room is left in its original condition. All furniture and props need to be moved back to their original positions and all messes / garbage cleaned up and contained within the bins provided or taken with you. If furniture and props are left disorganized or if garbage is left out, an automatic cleaning/organization fee will be billed to you.

Please take all of your belongings with you after your photo shoot. We are not responsible for loss or damages to items left in the studio or building common areas.
We do not store items for your booking ahead of the photo shoot or after the shoot. If you need to arrange delivery/storage of items ahead of your event, please email us at hello@theloft-toronto.com and we will advise you what we can do.

Guests must clean the space prior to leaving their booking. Furniture and props need to be moved back to their original place, dishes need to be washed and all garbage must be disposed off appropriately in the bins provided or taken with you. If the spa e is still left untidy (i.e. not in the same state that you found it in) at the end of the booking, there will be a minimum $200 cleaning / reorganization fee added to your booking.

You are responsible for any damages that occur in the studio during your booking caused by you or your guests. Any damage to the studio property, whether accidental or willful, is the responsibility of the guest. We reserve the right to charge you for the cost of rectifying any damages incurred in the studio during your booking in the amount The Loft deems necessary to compensate for any expenses incurred as a result of the damages.
The cost of rectifying damage to the room, walls, floors, fixtures, furnishings, decor and equipment will be charged in full.
Essentially if you stain or damage it you buy it and we reserve the right to bill you.

Please note that we allow a 10-minute grace period following your booking/ Please use this time to gather your belongings and ensure the space is left as you found it.
Any overtime past the 10-minute grace period will be billed at a rate of $170 per 20 minute block.
For example, if your booking ends at 4pm, you will have until 4:10pm to exit the studio. Here's how the fee structure applies:
Grace Period: From 4:00 PM to 4:10 PM (10 minutes) - No additional charge. This is the grace period provided for you to pack up your belongings and leave the studio.
Overtime: Starting from 4:10 PM, every 20-minute block beyond the grace period will be billed at $170. So, if you stay until 4:30 PM, you'll be charged an additional $150. If you continue shooting until 4:50 PM, that's another $150, and so on.
